NYC fabricator makes 120,000 face shields
Updated: Mar 30
Bednark, a full service fabrication company in Brooklyn, recently transformed their production within days so that they could make 120,000 face shields for healthcare workers. They redesigned the shield so that it could be made quickly out of easily accessible materials, and worked with the NYC Department of Health to get approval on the new design.
They were able bring in a team to help with the assembly, including previous employees and people from the restaurant industry who had recently been laid off. In the first three days they made 48,000 face shields!
